GOLDEN TRIANGLE TOUR : Delhi (1N) – Agra

Itinerary: 04 Nights & 05 Days
Day 01: Arrival & Sightseeing of Delhi
Pick-up from the Airport/Station & transfer
to the hotel. Afternoon leave for half day
sightseeing of Delhi. The tour to Delhi will
include a visit to the Qutab Minar, the
tallest stone tower in India. Qutub-ud-din
Aibak started construction in 1199. Pulling
down 27 Hindu and Jain temples and using
their columns erected the attached
Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque. Then visit Humayun's
tomb, built by the widow of the second
Mughal Emperor, Humayun. It is an
outstanding monument in the Indo-Persian
style, a precursor of the Taj Mahal. Visit
to Old Delhi will include visit to the
JamaMasjid and walk upto Chandni Chowk, the
famous by lanes of Old Delhi and drive past
Red Fort. The tour also includes a drive
past with photo opportunity of the imposing
India Gate, the Parliament building and the
Rastrapati Bhawan, the President's
residence. Overnight at Delhi
Day 02: Delhi - Agra (approx 205 Kms/4
Hrs)
Early morning After Breakfast leave for
Agra, arrive Agra check-in to the hotel.
Then leave for visit TAJ MAHAL & RED FORT.
Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the
World; it is a UNESCO world heritage site.
It was built in 1630 by the Mughal Emperor
Shah Jahan in memory of his deceased wife,
Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.
The monument has been described as the most
extravagant ever built for love, for the
emperor was heart-broken when Mumtaz, to
whom he had been married for 17 years, died
in 1629 in childbirth soon after delivering
her 14th child. Evening Visit Agra Fort
this finest example of Mughal architecture
was the seat of Mughal rule and
administration and the present structure
owes its origins to Akbar who erected the
walls and gates and the first buildings on
the eastern banks of Yamuna River. Shah
Jehan added the impressive quarters and the
mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer
ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience
and its Royal Pavilions. Overnight at Agra
Day 03: Agra Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
(approx 235 Kms/5 Hrs)
After breakfast leave for Jaipur enroute
Visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was
built by Emperor Akbar and served as the
capital of Mughal India from 1571 to 1585
AD. The remarkably preserved sprawling
fortress houses many palaces notable amongst
them for their architecture are Empress
Jodha baiï palace. The tomb "Salim Chisti
Ka Mazar" was built in honour of Sufi saint
Salim Chishti. Earlier it was built with red
sand stone but later converted into
beautiful marble mausoleum. It is a UNESCO
World heritage monument.
Afternoon arrive Jaipur, check-in to the
hotel. Evening tour of Amber Fort with
Elephant ride. Amber is located at a
distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur and
was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of
Amber, which used to be the capital till it
was moved to Jaipur. The walls and the
ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a
beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect
any streak of light, so as to illuminate the
entire room. Overnight at Jaipur
Day 04: Sightseeing of Jaipur
After breakfast leave for City tour of
Jaipur - Among the highlights to be seen
while touring Jaipur include the City
Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of
exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards,
decorative art and carved doorways. The
palace museum houses collections of rare
manuscripts, armory, costumes, carpets and
miniature paintings. Walk to the adjacent
Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory
made by the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in
1726 and is one of the five such
astronomical wonders built by Sawai Jai
Singh and makes accurate predictions even to
this day. You will also have the opportunity
to wander about the local markets. Overnight
at Jaipur.
Day 05: Jaipur ½ Delhi (approx 270 Kms/5
Hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel then leave for Delhi,
arrive Delhi & drop at airport/station for
onward journey.
